95th Rifles Living History Society representing 1st Battalion 95th (Rifle) Regiment of Foot (1/95) will be participating in the 200th Anniversary celebrations of the Storming of San Sebastián, Spain, (31 August 1813) which involved the British/Portuguese Army under Duke of Wellington in the Peninsular War.

The Forlorn Hope attempted to storm the main breach with wave after wave falling under tremendous frontal and flank fire. Eventually, with artillery support, the stormers poured across the breach to take the town.

As well as various parades, services of remembrance, the agenda includes re-enactment battles at the actual battle locations.

In the Society's Event Diary section there is a GoogleMap link to the venue and link to the information on the battle.
